The new solar energy fields help to create redundancy in our power systems to create energy independence, which will help lower utility costs, and keep more money in Nebraskans pockets. Nuclear energy is the cleanest and most effective energy source we could use. Updating our existing Nuclear Power plants and building additional plants will allow for lower energy costs and well-paying jobs.
Nebraska does have multiple coal fire energy plants in place throughout the State producing low-cost energy, lowering utility costs and creating jobs. I support additional coal fire plants with updated technology to significantly eliminate emissions. Coal fired plants would bring more well-paying jobs to Nebraska allowing us to keep and encourage more residents to the State.
What is everyone talking about?
This particular issue has been increasingly gaining coverage all over the world.
It is an issue that needs to be addressed, and heavily discussed among politicians, lobbyists, and congressmen and special interest groups alike.
I believe that Nebraskans are working together to create and maintain a clean Nebraska. Continued recycling projects, the school chemical cleanout campaign and the household hazardous waste drive and shred recycle days are evidence that Nebraskans take this issue seriously.
I support each Nebraskan doing their part to keep Nebraska clean and to plant trees often, not only to celebrate Arbor Day, but to help rebalance the environment.
